UV Realtime info
Does the recommended profile in the bottom right corner of this data mean my line could handle 25/2?
I currently have max level 12/1. Website says max plus 18 is the highest I can get. i don't plan on getting the next tier.

I am thinking of canceling my Att account after years
I have had Att dsl and now Uverse for probably ten years or so. It used to be great then the cap was enforced and I noticed my service wasnt as reliable. I call and talk to a rep and was feed misinformation and also told my Uverse would only be 35/month. I just log on to check my bill and it is a 45/month charge. The service is not reliable at all, every single day I experience multiple outages. They may not last long but they do happen. I can remember years ago on my dsl line this wasnt an issue. I am seriously considering dropping the service, I simply do not appreciate being lied to multiple times by their reps

Adding a AP...Hub>Switch>AP
Hello
I've asked this over in the Wireless Networking but before making a purchase I thought I would ask and check here if aa certain setup, make, model, settings are required.
Have a Model 3801HGV Router/Hub in the main part of the house
Have in the Rec Room about 656ft away a Netgear 8-Port Switch "wired"
I can get wireless fine in the main section but the Rec Room is problem. There are two wall, the kitchen and a solid block wall between it and the Hub/Router. I simply want to get a normal wireless signal in the Rec Room (basically a former two car garage). It seems that I just need a simple non-expensive Access Point and just plug it in the back of the Netgear Switch(?)
A...is this about right and if so is there a particular decent one(s) to look at? It's been suggested to look at this one....

In terms of setting this up what needs to be done....settings? Thanks for any help and or suggestions.

Relocating 3600HGV and NID Rewire
I've wired my house with CAT6 and did a home run to a closet. I've also, since having the wire, run an extra line from the NID to the home run closet, so I can relocate the 3600HGV. My intentions are to hook the 3600HGV to the gigabit switch and put a wireless N access point in the house somewhere.
The 3600HGV is currently hooked to a phone jack. We do not use our phone system so I'd like to bypass the phone system completely and hook the CAT6 directly to the (or as directly as possible) incoming line from the pedestal. I'm not even sure this is possible.
Also, regarding terminating the 3600HGV RJ11 with CAT6. I would really appreciate anyone's thoughts regarding the order for the pair(s) of wires.
I've attached a pic of the NID interior. Thank you for any and all help.
Also, I'm certainly not opposed to calling out a tech, if need be. Just thought I'd give it a shot first.
Thanks,
Chuck

NVG589
I have a light flashing red, it's the light right above the arrows. All lights are green and everything appears to be working ok. The other day everything stopped working. I don't know if it was a short power outage because later is the day the power went out and then back on. I turned the power off to everything at the time and everything came back up (internet, phone, tv) but since the red light constantly flashes. I've hidden the device behind the tv because it's sort of annoying for it to flash red. Is there a reason for this? I tried a reset, unplug still flashes.

curious about the work At&t is doint at my VRAD?
At&t has been putting markers on the concrete next to the VRAD, junction box and there is a symbol in paint that looks like the symbol for fiber optic right next to my local VRAD not to mention At&t has dug up the fiber optic cable running to the CO on the main road from my VRAD as there is a strip of dirt next to the main road where you can tell they dug up the fiber cabling not to mention the main telephone pots line coming into my neighborhood had new cable hanging from the pole where it goes from arial to underground and I also saw At&t contractors moving some of the fiber from underground to arial a little bid further up the road towards the CO. I am wondering if they are getting ready to rollout 45/6 in my neighborhood? I mean we are currently stuck at 24/3 and that is the same for the entire neighborhood.

Uverse power line stats
Hey guys, just got the power, 45mps service, but have a concern about line quality.
It looks as line 2 is 5mps less than line 1. VRAD is across the street from us and tech said its strongest signal hes seen, but i have my doubts.
What do you guys think?

AT&T Uverse throttle?
Hi all,
Curious if anyone is seeing same issue with downloading 'larger' files on AT&T Uverse (vDSL)...wondering if I'm being throttled here... (I'm paying for the Elite: 6 Mbps / 1 Mbps tier and have good speed results with various speed testing tools).
I've tried *many* different sites and file downloads where it starts out great, say 971KB/s and runs for to about 100MB or (guessing) 10% through the download then noticeably and *predictably* the download start dropping 1-2KB/s until it hits somewhere below 100KB/s. So, for example a 800MB file will go from projecting a download of 15 min to hours.
I've looked at M-Lab / Glasnost tools and they show no issues - but I believe its because they're not running long enough to see any effect here.
Thanks in advance for any advice or pointers.

Transferring/Billing U-Verse to another household member
My daughter recently got divorced and is moving out of her home. She wants to know whether she can transfer her U-Verse service to her soon to be ex-husband who's staying at the house. The services are currently under her name. And the payments are automatically deducted off her credit card.
She's moving to an area where u-verse tv isn't available. So the equipment is going to be useless anyhow. She can only get ADSL2+ internet at her new place. I'd be lending her my motorola adsl2+ modem for this which I was using up until last month with att, before I switched to comcast. Can these two things be done?
Thanks

Installation frustration
I called AT&T two weeks before my move into a newly built house to schedule my installation of Gigapower. The day before my installation, I was called and told they ran out of ports in the box down the street, and the deadline to fix that was 2/4. Needless to say, I was very frustrated. I called AT&T two weeks in advance in order to make sure the fiber could be pulled by the time I moved in.
I called today to see if engineering was still on schedule to fix the problem for 2/4. I was told the problem definitely won't be fixed by 2/4, and there is now no ETA for the fix. I will just 'receive a call' when engineering has resolved the issue to reschedule my install.

Uverse resellers
Are there any "good" resellser? My address qualifies for Uverse but i don't really want att direct since i work with their tech support enough as it is for work and don't want to come up and deal with it as well if needed. In addition hoping to save a few bucks possibly.
The re-seller I used to have at my last apartment(DSL Extreme) doesn't offer service on ATT without a phone line and doesn't do uverse(I was in frontier area before) My address also qualifies for non-uverse dsl but only at 1.5Meg(and even then i checked the loop length estimates my self and that would be cutting it close)

ATT Tech Charge to change jack
Hello,
I was wondering how much it would be for an ATT Uverse Tech to come out and change the jack from a kitchen to another room of the house? We have Dry Loop Uverse and need the jack changed to reconfigure a surveillance camera system and some other internet needs. I called the original technician to ask and left a message, so I might as well ask here. Thanks.

AT&T U-Verse 45Mbps only using one line?
Hello all,
So I just got Uverse installed and TVs work great and internet is working, but I'm only getting half of what I'm paying for. Techs have been out, all tests are fine, and I'm actually get a total of 53-55Mbps. The modem shows my line one getting 23Mbps and Line 2 getting 25 around there.
But, I run speed tests, and only get about 21-23Mbps. It's like the Modem is only sending out one line to my router.
They have changed lines outside, replaced the modem, ran so many tests, even the HQ the tech called said its as clean as a whistle.
Downstream Sync Rate (kbps) 26764 (line 1) 28453 (line 2)
I have the NVG589 modem. I'm getting full upload of 6, just getting half and I have zero clue what to do.
Any helped would be loved!!
