So i got Fiber 100/100 about 3 weeks ago all is great love it. So now it seems i have Native IPv6 BGW210, 1.5.12 firmware. Problems started with IPv6 as soon as it went Native seemed to work ok when it was 6rd.
Issues very unstable. IPv6 works one test then fails on another. Sometimes it has strange errors showing it's only partly working. Test with no DNS always fail. Is this normal for ATT v6 native ?
How many of users here have 100% working native IPv6 on the ATT network and how many do not and why. Just looking for some answers why in 2018 this is so screwed up.

5268ac bitloading chart
Since UVRT is long gone, does anyone know what the bin # to frequency conversion is on the Pace 5268 gateway, specifically for the 17a profile?
I'm going to have to do some interference sniffing with a portable radio, and need to identify frequencies from the bitloading graph.

Moving
Hi, I've had Uverse since it came out in my area & am moving to my new house in Tuscumbia AL in about a month. Have been trying to arrange high speed internet with no success. I called a while back to see if Uverse was available at the new address & it wasn't. But whoever I talked to told me that ATT had a new thing that would provide high speed internet for me. I forgot the name of it, sadly.
Anyhow now when I call nobody mentions that new service at all. I can't get Uverse, I do know that. My sister & nephew live less than two miles away & both have ATT Hot Spots with their phones & are able to stream Roku etc. But when I called this morning I was told I couldn't get that either. Does anybody have any suggestions? TIA.

It FINALLY Happened
Built a house in a subdivision that every address I checked was serviceable by AT&T Fiber, except mine. Checked this morning and it finally showed as serviceable.
Guess who's getting gigabit fiber installed next week? This guy. :)

Will tech run Fiber through my attic?
Fiber Install scheduled for next weekend...
I have a tight attic space, with only beams and insulation, single floor home.
I plan to go up this weekend and put a pull string from point A (entrance from outside eves into attic) to point B (my wiring closet)
Can the Uverse Tech use my pull string and pull the fiber in with this method? Is there any concerns of Plenum, etc? Will the fiber be okay dragged across the attic, or does it need to be stapled along the joists?

Showtime and Last Showtime
Under the Timed Statistics section in my BGW210 there are two columns labeled showtime and last showtime. Does anyone know what showtime is?

Is this normal for every unit, or is my RG dying?

AT&T Gigapower rollout in the CA Bay Area
Hi all,
A friend of mine just had Gigapower installed at his residence in San Jose. During the installation appointment, the techs mentioned that AT&T's goal is to roll out Gigapower within the entire Bay Area by the end of 2017. Wondering how true that is?
I live in a subdivision that was built in 2002 and right across from me is a brand new subdivision which is gigapower wired and yet mine is not :( Hoping they'd fix that soon as I would like some sweet gigabit juice as opposed to being stuck with Comcast :\
Thanks!

AT&T Smart Wi-Fi Extender (AirTies) finally available
I know most probably wont care, but I thought it couldn't hurt to share that I found out the mesh Wi-Fi solution AT&T has been planning to offer for months is finally available. I stumbled on the product page accidentally. https://www.att.com/accessories/specialty-items/att-smart-wifi-extender.html#sku=sku8150271
They sell it directly on the AT&T site for $35 as the "AT&T Smart Wi-Fi Extender", but its just a AirTies 4920 (3x3 5Ghz / 2x2 2.4 Ghz, two Ethernet ports) http://www.airties.com.tr/datasheets/Air4920_EN.pdf which a few other ISP's make use of as well (such as frontier).
It's only compatible with the Pace 5268AC and BGW 210. I'm thinking about grabbing one, not because the coverage from my 210 is bad, but the $35 price seems a cheap fee to get a mesh network setup and have a really strong signal through the entire house. Probably even outback down by the pool since I can connect to my 210 there its just a bit flaky. So I'm thinking what the hell, and I'm curious to see how it works. If I order one I'll post info and my experience.

HW Recommendations for a USB 3 LAN adapter for fiber
In Dell's wisdom, they only included a 10/100 NIC in my 5759 notebook and wireless performance isn't all that great either (Intel 3160). So I have resorted to trying a few USB 3 adapters and all frankly suck. Like the AX88179s I have tried all hit the same 550Mbps wall. I have tried the normal stuff like turning on and off offloading and flow control to see if I can get any bump in speed but nothing. These gigabit adapters are actually not. No TBolt on this slug so I am pretty stuck.
Anyone use a USB 3 adapter that actually provides gigabit throughput? What chipset does it have?

BGW210 & hard-wired AirTies: WiFi locks up on mobile devices
The BGW is in the garage and the AirTies is in the kitchen connected to eth2 on the BGW. The AirTies configured itself and coverage is excellent. Session hand-over works when I use realtime apps like Skype etc. and walk from the coverage area of the garage to the AirTies.
My problem is with devices that come out of sleep. Tablets, phones... They are connected to an AP but no data is able to get through. Looking at my phone's wifi stats I can see it has a 169. IPv4 address and not a 192. Toggling off/on wifi fixes that and assigns a new IP and data works. Just trying a release/renew does not work.
Just now I disabled IPv6 on the BGW210 and I will test if that helps. Has anyone had this issue? My next step is to disable the 2.4Band.

What RG is AT&T provisioning for small business uverse when they order 4 lines of phone service? Speed tier is 45/5.
There is no existing uverse voice, just analog POTS.
Thanks!

U-Verse - IP address changes between 2 different address
I am using OpenDNS and there "Updater" at the current software level,
I am running Windows 10 Pro at the April 2018 level.
Modem/router is an ARRIS BGW210-700, at software level 1.5.12 ,
Wireless card is Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265, at current software level.
The OPENDNS app pops up every couple of minutes. It says "Using OpenDNS Yes" .
However it shows an IPADDR of 104.239.207.44 .
If I click on it switches to 198.105.244.130.
Sometimes it will "ping-pong" back and forth between addresses!
Now when I go into windowns, IPCONFIG, it points to the modem / router address. It shows the internal IP of 192.168.1.78, which I would expect.
If I connect ro the modem/router control panel. it shows an IPADDR of 107.219.183.70, which is the same address that is shown when I log on to the OPENDNS (Umbrella) dashboard.
I am running Windows 10 Pro Version 1803 (Build 17134.81) which is the current production built with all updates applied.
When I use reverse lookup on 107.219.183.70 the address shows as 107-219-183-70.lightspeed.cntmoh.sbcglobal.net, which is what I would expect.
However, reverse lookup on 104.239.207,44 shows it is a RACKSPACE address.
And reverse lookup on 198.105.244.130 shows as a Search Guide Inc IPADDR,
Is this normal? What is going on?
I initially posted the above to OPENDNS/CISCO support and they came back with: ".... It sounds like ATT might be using a proxy or these 2 addresses could be in ATT's pool. I recommend you reach out to your ISP to inquire about this behaviour as this is not something done by OpenDNS."
Thanks!!

ATT Fiber(FTTP): Native IPv6: Anyone get greater than a /64?
I have an NVG599 in passthrough mode to a Ubiquiti USG. I haven't been able to get it to request more than a /64 of IPv6 space (for use on vLAN's).
Does anyone have any ideas?

Anyone tried the promo for free U-Verse in Chicago?
I've got AT&T for my "work" line, and am thinking of trying this. I currently have Comcast and last time i had AT&T it was 55/12 and worked fine.. The difference is i'm paying Comcast over $175 for gig with unlimited data (300Mbps was going to be $99 + $50 for unlimited data)
This at&t plan I can do 50/10 with unlimited cell for $80/mo, then add $30 unlimited data, and we just do two streams of DirecTV Now and some casual web browsing.. so the DSL should be fine..
I just am looking to see how long it takes for the actual account credits to take effect for free ISP, as I know at&t is kinda slow with that at times.
