I have the 5031NV modem, which got new software enabling IPv6. Supposedly, according to this site I can activate IPv6 and cause my modem to draw an IPv6 address. Currently, my modem says "LAN Status: Waiting for IPv6 address" and I continue to draw a public IPv4 address. If I activate IPv6, do I lose the public IPv4 address and draw some carrier grade NAT address?
The reason I ask is because I have a Magicjack plus dongle plugged into the modem, which is working flawlessly, and I don't want to lose that. And I wonder if 3rd party VOIP is going to work well if it is going through a 6rd tunnel.
But, I'm thinking of taking a chance, if I keep my public IPv4.
