Hi, my company recently switch from an older AT&T DSL service to U-Verse and at the same time had to switch to a new block of IPs.
We previously had reverse DNS delegation set to point to our DNS server (on this same block of IPs) so that when other email servers looked up our IP, they'd get one of our custom names in reply, not the typical default DSL-looking name which causes some email servers to block connections.
So I finally got around to requesting (this Monday) that this again be done for our new block, and did this via phone rather than the web form I subsequently found (which might've been simpler
http://attis-dns.sbcglobal.net/
). I was told it'd be done in 48h, and also that I'd get a phone call before any changes took place.
Now I'm seeing failures in lookup for the IPs altogether (which is of course even worse than what it was before -- now Comcast, e.g., won't accept our emails either, and they used to), and still no call back from the IP Services department that should be handling this.
Any suggestions as to what I should do now? I placed another call to AT&T technical support and was not able to directly get in touch with anyone in this department and I want to make sure I'm attacking this problem as aggressively as possible before we go for days with broken reverse DNS.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
