I have been enjoying a 12MB ADSL2+ connection with latency path set to fast (i.e fast path, fastpath) for the last 12 months with no problems. Just today, a premises technician came out to troubleshoot errors because my Motorola NVG510 kept losing sync and the light would go red. He replaced line all day long, drove back and forth to the CO, and eventually told me that I was marginally close to the distance cutoff for the 12MB speed I was provisioned for and suggested I downgrade to 6MB speed to eliminate the errors...so I agreed. As soon as he did, and my speed changed, my latency path (i.e. noise profile, data path, etc.) changed to interleaved. I called tier 2 U-verse support and they had no idea what I was talking about and could not switch it back from interleaved to fast. They even attempted upgrading back to 12MB speed, and afterwards my latency path was still set to interleaved. How do I get it back?! Another post I read suggested having tier 2 escalate to a CO tech, but when I spoke to tier 2 they said they couldn't do that either. I really hope someone can suggest a solution to this, because I cannot stand the extra latency for gaming. I tried to save logs from my NVG510 that showed proof that I was on fast path just before someone changed something at ATT that switched to interleaved 10 minutes later, but I accidentally cleared the logs.
Please excuse if duplicate post...
