[Modem] Force NVG510 to be 192.168.2.x or ...?

Funhouse veteran here. I just switched from good ol' DSL to Uverse DSL, and now have a new NVG510 modem/router, that's working fine, so far (3 hours). But I have a question. I have a lovely old HP Laserjet printer with a working jetdirect ethernet card that is HARDWIRED to an 192.168.2.x IP address, while the NVG510 currently has a LAN IP address of 192.168.1.254 and is set to accept only IPs of 192.168.1.x. I remember that it was easy to change the entire range on the Linksys3000 that the NVG510 has replaced. On the NVG510, can I simply change the "Device IPv4 Address" on the Subnets & DHCP page to 192.168.2.1 or 192.168.2.254 (and change the allowable range for attached devices) without repercussions? Is there some other way to accomplish this change or otherwise to get the Laserjet back in touch with the network?
