So one day my downloading seemed slow (I was maxing out at like 8 mb/s) so I called ATT and asked them what was happening. It was supposed to be 18 mb/s
Well apparently they said when I "upgraded" to a new package the price deal came with a downgrade in speed and I couldn't change or I'd suffer a prorated $250 fee. I flipped out and called BS and wasn't getting any help, so I hung up the phone in anger.
The next day I did speedtest and it was at 18 mb/s. I figured wow, that's pretty awesome they just went ahead and fixed it.
But since then speedtest.net and command line ping tests show great speed and reliable service, but the ACTUAL service is effing HORRIBLE.
I can't watch youtube videos in HD. I can't even watch in 480p without buffering. Jpegs load as if I was back in 1997 again using 28.8k.
I can't play online games now because I'll drop from the server every few minutes or so.
This happens all the time now. Not every second of the day, but pretty frequently.
Unfortunately, even during the worst slowdowns when I can barely even load speedtest.net, the test results STILL come out perfect with a steady 18 mb/s.
What gives???
