I'm looking at signing up for U-verse and see that "an early termination fee of $180 may apply." I've heard bad stories about some of the wireless carriers making it difficult to terminate your contract at the proper time without getting hit with fees.
Does anyone know how AT&T handles terminations? When I sign up, should I be sure to ask what my "termination window" would be one year hence, to ensure I could end my contract at that time without charges?
Also, I must say, it's hard to find out what your "Standard Rates" will be after your first year introductory offer. The best I could find was here --

But even then every price has an asterisk with it saying "A high-speed Internet equipment fee may apply".
My goodness, is it really that difficult to tell customers what they will pay for a product?
