I am having an issue with static IP's on this device. Every so often, my internet connection will partially go out -- and by that I mean that it will stop accepting new connections, existing connections will continue to work. I think that the way that Static IP's are handled on this device is bugged, I also read it's due to exhausting the memory on the firewall built into the device, question is, why would the other computer without a static IP still work if that was the case? I have another machine hooked up to port 2 but it's still working. The reason it is still working is because I have it set to pass the RG's DHCP WAN address through, and not a static IP.
I also found this thread that said that said he was having issues with Static IP connectivity, and it turned out his static IP's were bad (is that possible?), and he got new ones and stopped having connectivity issues. https://forums.att.com/t5/General-Device-Support/U-Verse-Static-IP-setup-and-access-problem/td-p/4785826
