AT&T 3600HGV/3800HGV VLAN ID

Hello strangers, Does anyone know if 3600HGV/3800HGV modems have a configurable VLAN ID in bridge mode, so you can use an external router and establish a PPPoE session? The reason I'm asking, is that these modems are based on Ikanos chipset, which is what is required to sync to Lucent Stinger FTTN remotes that we have here in Canada (Ontario/Quebec)... The modems distributed by the telco are buggy as crap, so I'm looking to see if an AT&T modem could be adapted, as there are plenty of these modems on ebay. Or if the VLAN ID is not configurable, perhaps someone knows what the VLAN ID is on U-VERSE? Bell Canada uses VLAN ID 35 for internet, VLAN ID 36 for IPTV... I'm not interested in IPTV, just the internet part... I've looked around for some screenshots of this, but to no avail... If anyone can provide any info i'd appreciate it. Thx --
