@ 18mbps Internet only service my isp speed on an Ethernet connection with FTTN ATT U- Verse with an ATT/Pace 3801HGV 802.11 G RGW has no trouble reaching 18-23 Mbps on that PC .On this PC with WiFi 802.11n.it can only get to 8-13 Mbps with an average of 8-11 Mbps . I tested the above with 1 PC being the only connection at different times and servers and speed tests over 2 days with no co channels or overlaps and good signal strength of -41dBm or better and an SSID link score of 80-100 . I've re started the RGW no change and I've used channel 1,6,11 and the RGW is set at full power . I'm curious if the 3801HGV 802.11 G RGW @ 54 Mbps *should pass 18-25Mbbps * over Wi Fi reliably and if the newer ATT/Pace Pace 4111N 802.11n RGW might work better since the upgrade here from 6 Mbps service . All the Wi Fi devices and extenders here are post 2010 -2011 and newer and should be 802.11n so presumably the router wont have to default to 802.11g . Note : I'm real close to the FTTN DSLAM and on 6 Mbps service before moving to 18Mbps the WiFi was always in the 7-8.5 Mbps range on 6 Mbps service. Again since the service upgrade another PC on Ethernet here in another room gets 18-23 Mbps consistently so I'm thinking the bottleneck may be the Pace /ATT 3801HGV 802.11g router ?
