I had single pair 25Mb Uverse for several years with fantastic reliability. Then I upgraded to the 75Mb bonded pair service. Same house, same wiring. The only thing that changed was the service level and the router.
After upgrading, the reliability and uptime went to hell. I have service loss multiple times daily, lasting around 30 minutes at a time. The LAN side of the router works fine, but the WAN side goes crazy, with the router LEDs flashing like a Christmas tree on acid.
The AT&T techs have been out multiple times. They certainly try. They spend hours swapping out routers, staring at the big box on the street where the fiber terminates for the neighborhood (forgot the the technical name), and then leave scratching their heads.
So everyone is stumped. If I can't fix this, my only other choice is downgrading or switching to Time Warner. Both those options are not desirable.
Have any of you experienced this? Any troubleshooting suggestions? Thanks in advance.
