Hello All. First time user here at DSLreports.
I have decided to post my problem here after reading numerous threads from here and realizing that the community here is very fun and helpful.
I have had GigaPower for about 6 months now. Since Day 1, I have had an issue with my download speed on my laptop (Gateway, Windows 7) refusing to get over 370 Mbps.
I have never really cared, he'll 350 Mbps was great. However, for the last month or so, it has been bogging down to 6 Mbps at times during the night.
So naturally, I started paying more attention. At first, I chalked up the 370 Mbps wall of death to the PC just not being able to operate at any faster speed.
The thing that is throwing me off is the Upload Speed. The Upload speed gets 600 + Mbps every single time. On the same exact laptop.
Can anyone help me figure out why the download speed won't break the 370 Mbps barrier but the upload speed can?
Now, as I originally stated, I don't really care honestly so I haven't done a lot of troubleshooting. I haven't had the time really.
What I have done so far is this.
I have swapped from a 589 > 599 > currently running with a 5268.
Obviously I am hard wired in. I've ran the speed test connected to my Apple a AirPort, and I have also taken the laptop down and directly connected to the 5268. Both ways, I can't get over 370 Mbps down.
The only thing I haven't done is taken a BBU OUTSIDE to the ONT and brung up the RG @ the ONT and connected the laptop outside. And I doubt I will do that period.
Now, my initial thoughts were "it's the laptop" but if it's the laptop, why would the upstream always be so much higher?

Also, I can't get wifi speeds higher than 190 Mbps down and up. The wifi speeds are through the AirPort (the 5268 doesn't even give me 90 mbps). I have the 5268 wifi disabled and have DMZ to the Apple. I am connected to the 5 Ghz network, and using a brand new iPad and laptop. The wifi speeds do not break the 200 Mbps barrier. The AirPort is the newest AC vertical standing Apple Router.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
