I have the 18Mbit product supplied by Sonic.net. I recently got my 5031nv to update to the new firmware version (10.5.1.525900-att).
It did get IPv6 working. It happens to move me from an "F" to an "A" for bufferbloat test. Mostly I am happy with this update, but...
The trouble is that it broke anything that requires Upnp/Multicast communication between wi-fi and wired.
This breaks Chromecasting from wired hosts. It breaks "minidlna" music service to the Roku client for same. It stops "Calibre" media hosting to the "Stanza" app, but this one is easily fixed by manually entering the host IP/port.
I mention all of those mostly to show that this is *clearly* a multicast issue between wired and wi-fi. It is not full isolation, just the multicast.
I have avoided DMZ+ since I had no desire for running two routers when there was nothing that I was not getting from the 5031.
Anybody else see this same effect, or see that they *don't* have this issue?
Is DMZ+ my only option or might AT&T notice the issue and fix it?
