Well, I am a Frontier customer, but the reason I'm posting here is because people are more familiar with how the equipment works.
As some of you may remember, I have had my two ISB7005 receivers running off my RT-N66's(in access point mode) 5 GHz network for a while now.
Over the weekend I had a tech over(mentioned here: https://www.dslreports.com/forum/r30275814-Update-Install-Changed-115-127-Mbps-Profile-Max-sync-at-192-48 ), one of my ISB7005s were swapped with a newer VIP2502W. Originally, the receiver refused to load any guide data, most of the channels(if it did load any, it dropped out once multicast began). The tech gave me a new VAP2500 and I told him I would see if I can figure out what was wrong. I updated the firmware on my router today and I managed to get it to at least load guide info and stream video.
The problem I am having now is that On Demand and any form of app(Account Manager, Phone Services, etc.) aren't loading properly. If I press the Go Interactive button on the remote, it just gives me "Error code 0 - Failed to load resource." On Demand just spins and spins.
The strange thing is that if I repeatedly press the buttons to make it load/cancel, it eventually makes it go through. It will continue to load properly until it's removed from memory. Nothing else changed between then and now. My gateway was the same the day before and the day of the visit.
I don't use either that often, so it isn't a MAJOR nuisance for me, but I would like to try to fix it.
Anyone have any clue what could be causing an issue? I'm mainly curious why the ISB7005 works fine, but the VIP2502W is being stubborn.
I pretty much have two VAP2500s now(my old AT&T Motorola one which I was told to just trash if I didn't want it, and a newer Arris branded one). I really hate using the VAP2500 because I can't control the channel(Frontier set a different default login).
Someone mentioned I should check to see if my router supported IGMPv3 and it seemed to(based on a quick search).
Anything else I could check? What could be different between the ISB7005 and VIP2502W(and I assume VIP2500) that is causing this to happen?
