Long story short:
My phone and Internet with TWC has been out for nine days. I'm sick of this. TWC treats me like crap.
Not that Ma Bell is better, but hey.
I placed an order for U-Verse Business 75 meg Internet and U-Verse Business TV ("private viewing") with 4 receivers + HD for $206/mo. - I have to pay $99 for install, but I'm eligible for a $99 rebate. So it works out to free install. Sadly, 1 year contract required. However, Biz service is actually $56/mo. CHEAPER than my current setup of all residential services. :o
Yes, this is a residential address. However, I theoretically do run a consulting thing on the side for tech, so that's my claim to being a "business." :)
What should I be expecting?
I'm a bit nervous because the last time I had U-verse, I had the 45 meg Internet and five TVs. Perhaps being residential had something to do with it, but I never saw higher than 7 meg down.
I now only have 4 TVs. I'm hoping I actually see something close to 75. I'll be happy with anything over 50, but I'd really like to see a minimum of 70.
My house number is 111. Every house on my street showed eligible for 75 meg... Except mine. I placed the order under 110 xx Street, and in the section where you can provide AT&T additional info, explained the glitch and asked them to modify the order to show that service being installed at 111... My actual location.
This will either be fixed and go on as usual, or for some reason my home is singled out, can't get 75 meg, and I'm screwed. I feel it's a site issue as it said I wasn't even eligible for 45... When I've had 45 before.
Provided they install it, I'll post back with my experience.
