Wondering if wiring from jack to uverse box is normal?

Howdy all, Triple jack plate delivers uverse signal to room and takes 2 phone lines to other parts of the home. A single 12-15 ft piece of cat cable carries the uverse signal from the triple jack plate to the main uverse dsl modem/phone device and returns the 2 phone lines back to the triple jack plate. User says that phone lines don't have any problems. I'm just wondering if this wiring is normal or not? Thanks.
