One Year Promotion Expiring - What to do.. Add TV Service?

I am now at the end of my 1 year new customer promotion period and am looking at a $30/month increase (MaxPlus Internet and Voice 200 phone). Initial calls to customer service (no real offer) then transfer to retentions gave an offer of a $12.05 monthly increase (was $49.95 increase to $62 before taxes/fees)... better than the default $81/month but not as good as a new customer. They did try to push a triple play adding a TV package. Basically, the full package would be $93/month with additional incentives (3 month credit $10 HD service, $150 reward card, HBO/Cinemax 3 months, free installation). I really don't want TV service (use OTA and streaming services). They "tell" me that if I take the triple play and decide I don't want the TV service I can cancel the TV at no penalty and still retain the reduced price internet/phone service for a year. The TV service has no contract, there is a 1 year service contract for the internet/phone service. Questions... * Will retentions email a written offer so I have documentation of the incentives and contract terms before I accept? * Is the DVR wireless? My existing NVG589 modem and Asus router is upstairs and the TV is downstairs. * Is it true that I can cancel TV service (no contract required) and still keep the lower rate internet/phone service? Basically, they say I could get several months of "free" TV service with the incentives and cancel if I want (cancel TV only)... if I want to play that game. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I'd especially appreciate any feedback from those who signed up for the triple play and then cancelled TV service. They "throw" a lot of talk on the phone and it's hard to make sense of the offer... a shame they make more of an effort at new customers rather than retain a long time customer. I can get a similar "new" customer offer from TWC but would honestly prefer to stay with AT&T... less hassle with a new installation (never had cable) and am happy with the current internet/phone AT&T service. Thanks again!
