I have att uverse with a motorolla NVG589 residential gateway. I was having issues with intermittent signal loss. Tech comes out and removes old Coax connection to RG (should have been done at the start, but that's another story) second guy says it needs to be done and replaces RG and leaves, Third service call guy replaces Coax with cat 6 and replaces RG again.
Boom signal droppage is over. Enter new issue, none of my pcs can ping each other but each of them can get on the internet. Ping by name resolves to the correct ip addresses for each device, but no response. Even more strange each device can ping the network printer. Each individual device can ping the wired network printer regardless of lan or wlan.
I scoured the internet and the ATT forums and nothing was there so I turned to them for help. The only thing I can think of is some setting on the RG must be causing this. They told me sorry we can't help you only these people who charge can. Glad that they care. I don't want to change, but I will if I cant fix this. Anyone here have any ideas?
