I have U-verse 24Mbps for 1-1/12 years now, was great- but since the 1st of the year I have noticed Netflix,Crackle buffering getting bad. It seems that after 8-8:30it's 3 min vid 2-3 min buffer up around 10:30 it's 1 min vid 2-3 min buffer. I watch via Roku . I have tried 2 different Roku boxes wired and wireless with same results, I have run speedtest.net while watching vid and get 15Mbps + speed.
I have the TV,VOIP, internet package.
Question: do streaming vid take bandwidth from the overall 24Mbps or are there some markers that require it to share the TV stream-- or does it all share the same bandwidth and ATT may be chocking me down.
A little nxt day UPDATE: Netflix tech people sent me a list of stuff to try for a fix -stuff like check your connections, pwr cycle my Roku, etc, all common sense things which I had already done, but they also said restart your ATT modem which I did yesterday morning - also it seemed without any change. But after I posted this question I power cycled my Roku and the buffering went away ? it should also be noted I had run the "example short 23.976" from Netflix on my Roku (with buffering) b4 restarting my Roku ?
