OK, first I was a Comcast xfinity customer, but their customer service is Satan incarnate, so I couldn't take it anymore and migrated to Uverse, which had just established their fiber optics network in my area.
However, I am a bit disappointed in their equipment. Apparently, the 3801 has been around for years, and DOES NOT HAVE GIGABIT ETHERNET. WTH, ATT??
Anyway, I want to set this thing up for the fastest possible speeds. Currently, I have the 3801 configured as is explained in this link:

I have a linksys E3200 gigabit router behind the 3801 for all my networking duties, including WiFi, and the only thing I use the 3801 for directly is for the Ethernet connection to the router, and the TV signal to go to the Uverse box. I am using all Cat5e/Cat6 cables for my home network and a TrendNet Green 8-port gigabit switch behind the Linksys router.
Is there an optimal way to set this all up?
Should I use the coax for the uverse box or keep it on ethernet?
