AT&T or Time Warner (TW) for internet service only

I am trying to decide on AT&T versus Time Warner (TW) for internet service only. TW’s Turbo speed (20Mbps) package would cost me another $60 on top of my current bill (I now have standard Hi Definition TV w/DVR service). TW has no data cap and no contract is required. AT&T's Uverse Max Plus package is $45 + $6 more for their "must rent" Gateway modem. AT&T has a 250GB data cap and they also require a 1 year contract. Any thoughts out their on which is the better company to go with would be greatly appreciated.
