Ok so I swapped over to ATT Uverse 6 months ago after having problems with Charter. Everything was going great the first few days and then the gateway started to require reboots to get TV and internet to work every few days. After a month or so of doing this it started to require a power cycle almost twice a day. Getting tired of never having internet access back to my NAS box I decided to call ATT and get them out to repair it. Tech came out and said it has to be a bad gateway. Swapped, checked for connection and left. The next day, internet was out just like normal. This time it was a little more random than before. I would go a few days with great connections some weeks and others it would require a reboot every day. After another month I decided to call again. Tech came out ran a new line from the side of the house to the gateway and replaced the gateway. Tested for internet and left. Once again the next day the unit went down again. This time I decided to call right away. Lady on the phone said to document the outages over the next week and call again if it continues. After 7 days I had to power cycle the unit 5 times. Called this in and once again the decided to have another tech come out. This time the tech looked at the pole. Said everything looked good, but just in case ran a new line form the pole to the house. Once again another new gateway was put in, tested for internet and tech was gone. This time I went a few days before the internet went out, but like clockwork once it started it was every other day then every day. I have officially had 28 service calls since I purchased Uverse 6 months ago. I have had either 5 or 6 gateways and had 2 lines run from the house to the gateway and a new run from the pole to the house. Because of the ridiculousness of everything I figured there was something up with my network. I decided to leave the gateway alone and just plug my desktop into it. Wifi is off and no further settings have been messed with. I still have problems. My setup right now is literally: pole -> side of house side of house -> gateway gateway -> computer gateway -> tv in office Every day I have problems getting internet and/or getting TV. When I have no access to the internet every light on the gateway is green. I have never once seen a red light on ANY of the gatways i have had at my house. I have tried to get someone to look at the log files because obviously switching the gateways out is not fixing the problem but I have never had any luck. Need to know which log files I would need to upload so I can try to see whats going on with my connection.
