3801 RG and Static IPs Blocking Internet Access

I recently obtained a block of 5 usable IPs from AT&T and I have it all set up properly within the RG. I have a server with it's NIC setup for DHCP and I assigned one of the static IPs to the server from within the RG. The server is obtaining the proper IP, subnet mask, gateway, etc. The issue I'm having is that I am unable to access anything via the Internet from this server. I have tried assigning different DNS servers other than the static IP gateway that the RG is assigning, with no luck. The only solutions I've been able to come up with to get it working is to put the server in DMZplus mode (which I don't want to do since I don't want all ports open to the server) or to assign a local IP from the RG to the 2nd NIC on the server, and place the priority of the 2nd NIC above the 1st. This solution works great, except I would prefer to have my other NICs available for virtualization. So if anyone has any suggestions of how to resolve this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it!
