So we have AT&T Dedicated Fiber installed in our office, with a new install the installed an emux in our server rack, in our server room in the office.
So some next door person calls AT&T and they claim their is fiber in the building with a emux and they won’t need to pay for installs, so we had a AT&T technician show up to our office and asked if can get access to the server room to do a installation, of course the tech was denied since there was no records of AT&T showing up for a new install for our office. Tech understand the situation and left.
Till the next day, angry tenant from next door showed up and started yelling at us, how we are denying services and he needs to pay $$$ for installs.... and was told by AT&T, we need share our emux
Like, we aren’t denying it, since the emux is locked in our secure server room with limited access, and using our power..
Plus say if their service went crap and tech needs access to the server room when we aren’t their in the middle of the night?
I get that if the emux was installed for the whole building, but it was installed in our office for 10GB speeds, and our phone system... and not for the whole building.
So are we even obligated to share the emux in our server room??
