DSL: AT&T Uverse 20mb
Gateway: 2wire 3800HGV-B
PC: Windows 7 Pro, wired LAN connection
Location: Los Angeles, CA
For the past week all INBOUND connections to my Crashplan server have failed. Meanwhile, Crashplan is able to connect OUT to the Crashplan server to make its cloud backup. So, I can connect to CP's cloud (I have a paid account), but my friend's PCs cannot connect to me (they're using CP Free).
In the 2wire 3800HGV-B's firewall log the following entry is repeated over and over:
INF 2013-08-13T13:57:50-07:00 fw,fwmon src=192.168.1.70 dst=209.208.241.211 ipprot=6 sport=23710 dport=443 TCP SYN Packet Dropped
As I understand the above, my computer (192.168.1.70) is trying to open an HTTPS connection with Crashplan, but the SYN packet is being dropped by the 2wire's firewall. Crashplan has been working fine for more than a year, and no changes have been made by me to the 2wire 3800HGV-B's configuration. The destination IP successfully resolves to Crashplan's server, central.crashplan.com. There are several other Crashplan IPs and they all get "TCP SYN Packet Dropped" when trying to connect as well.
Although we have occasional (daily) DSL dropouts, this Crashplan disconnection has been 24-7 for the past week+.
I've rebooted (many times) both my PC and the 2wire box, stopped/restarted Crashplan service, and performed a factory reset on the 2wire this morning, but nothing has fixed this.
Also, I booted up other PCs (WinXP & Win7 virtual machines) with Crashplan. Both PCs were able to connect and backup to one another and my primary PC, so the problem doesn't seem to be with my LAN.
HELP! (Please.)
