This is my Uverse review from a recent install vs. Directv which I had for over 4 years and from a recent move could no longer get.
Uverse tech was the best install I've ever had. On time, early actually, knew his stuff, did great work and even put on booties as not to dirty up the carpet. 10 out of 10 on the install.
Uverse picture quality vs. Directv....Uverse is soft on most channels...well, much less sharp than DTV was and I do see some pixelation with movement on some channels. DTV never had pixelation on any channel and had razor sharp pictures.
Equipment is a Uverse win hands down. Receiver is MUCH faster than my DTV DVR ever thought about being. Actions happen almost instantly.
My only gripe about Uverse is that I can't use my own internet with the system. I have to use Uverse internet to get the advanced features or I lose out. DTV of course accepted any internet into their units. My current IP is just fine and have no intent on switching to Uverse internet anytime soon. Oh well.
