My newly-installed NVG510 modem is having some issues and an ATT tech is coming out today to check things out.
Under the Broadband, Status menu on the modem's internal pages I have this:
Downstream and Upstream Statistics
Downstream Upstream
SN Margin (dB) 14.1 9.3
Line Attenuation (dB) 14.0 9.7
Output Power(dBm) 18.7 12.1
Errored Seconds 6 0
Loss of Signal 0 0
Loss of Frame 0 0
FEC Errors 152 1
CRC Errors 10 0
How do these numbers stack up? What are the nominal values?
This installation replaced a perfectly reliable DSL system. It connects directly to the Central Office 2500 feet from my home (it is all aerial, and I have paced it off).
Thanks for any guidance here.
