Hi guys,
We just recently had 1Gbps fiber installed, and AT&T supplied us with an ARRIS NVG595. I have the device in IP Passthrough mode, and I have a security gateway with one of five AT&T IPs assigned. The gateway is able to transmit traffic back and forth without any issues, and I'm able to confirm the correct IP via whatismyip.org
However, I'm not able to ping the IP from a separate connection, any port forwarding I put in place is not working, and remote management of my security gateway will not connect. I have confirmed that the router is set to reply to ping requests, and that remote management is properly enabled. Luckily we are still on our previous ISP, and I have only been performing testing with the AT&T fiber before moving our whole network over to it.
Is there something I'm missing here? I know that the NVG595 cannot perform traditional bridging, which is a shame as that is what I truly need for it to do. Any thoughts or suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
