I've been a U-verse customer for 4 years. I have a Pace IPH 8010 DVR. It has 1 TB of storage.
The DVR kept locking up and required a restart each time. This was going on for about a month or two. ATT told me it needed a software update to fix this issue. The previous update was two months old. I was skeptical that this would resolve my issue, but I didn't really have a choice. To make a long story short, the DVR failed again the next day & I wasn't able to even watch the TV now. After spending 1.5 hours on the phone, they sent me a replacement DVR. It was a very old looking Motorola 1225. It would not update when I hooked it up, so it was not usable. I had to spend another hour on the phone with tech support while they worked on something on their end. They finally got it working.
This replacement DVR only has half the storage capacity of my old unit. I called ATT, they said this was the latest they are offering. I don't want this unit because of the size of the hard drive. They said they don't have the Pace unit. So I asked if they can send the latest and greatest unit. They said no. I have been without a TV for 4 days because their DVR failed.
Does anyone have a suggestions how I can keep my 1 TB of storage?
