I am making the transistion from dsl/static/2wire to uverse/static/nvg510 .
For the dsl world, I relied on the firewall settings on the 2701hg-b gateway.
It allowed me to select which applications/port would be passed on the static device. Each device (meant to be publically accessible) was assigned a static ip address.
I am having a problem finding that functionality on the uverse nvg510.
It appears that a device assigned to a static ip address is not managed by the packet filter settings.
I have not yet been able to get a consistant answer from at&t support.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a workaround?
