Static IP Block and 3801HGV

So, this comes up quite a bit--but there never seems to be anything that is proposed except for a Frankenstein *nix box at the edge to provide the DHCP-dance with the 2Wire modem. Have a /29 from AT&T which allows for use of 5 addresses; however this really only means that behind my router I can use 1 address, as the gateway does not bridge or allow any traffic unless is comes from a separate MAC address. Does anyone have any solutions that *may* work to allow for the real use of the /29 block I have? Technical Support has told me that bridge mode will never be supported and to just put the devices straight behind the 3801HGV. .tnx.
