Hello everyone,
ive been having issues with my internet particularly when im gaming. So i noticed that when im playing online, wether having people on or off my connection, i never go below 4 bars (BO3) or any other game. It says I have good ping even when i have people on youtube, Netflix, Hulu, or downloading music off of itunes. When im alone at home with no one accessing the ethernet, nothings running on the background of my devices, i still have the same experience as when my family is at home. I even speed test while im playing video games and im still at 4 bars/good ping. Im getting 29/5 for the results and im not losing any packets. Reading this, you probably think, god why is he complaining his not lagging, but i am. im losing fights and i know my bullets arent reaching their destination. So i went to see my bonded streaming rate on the homepage for the router (192.168.1.254), it shows that im getting a 55218/6080. Ive had techs saying thats not possible for me to have and that im too far from the box on the street to be on that profile. Can that affect my online experience?
Sorry for the long post. My setup is a nvg599 (newest modem from at&t) having 2 tvs connected with ethernet cable, the wireless thingy for 2 wireless tv boxes (only one is being used) and a ethernet cord to a new switch for my gaming consoles and pc. No wireless usage for gaming but many are pcs, and phones are on the wifi. Basically, when i want to make myself lag with applications taking up as much bandwidth as i can it wont have any effect.
