I've checked many many addresses across the suburbs of the Birmingham, AL metro area, and I have not found any addresses that qualify for 75Meg. The fastest is 45Meg including my neighbor who is about 600FT from the DSLAM and on an N card.
I was on 45Meg and they swapped from an F card to a N card and put me on 17a.
My neighbor just signed up and even though he is on an N card and is 600FT, technically doesn't even need pair bonding because 1 line syncs over 80Meg they only have him on 8d.
You would think with cable competition and the availed equipment they would offer the faster tiers to profit from it.
They even built a new DSLAM to handle capacity in my area and from what I was told, they have plenty of "backhaul".
But so many homes in different cities qualify for 45 but not 75..
Seems uncompetitive when Charter offers a standard 60meg tier at a lower rate.
