Uverse wireless receivers dropping signal?

Last week, my two wireless receivers started un-synching while watching shows. Called tech support. Lets test it. Got it working for about 2 hours. Dropped out again. Called TS. Mary (worlds worst help line service anywhere) dropped my internet connection without warning, so I lost some work. Bottom line, she sent technician. I was watching access point drop out while he was trouble shooting (InSSider). While he was at distant receiver, I moved the VAP2500 access point away from the Arris modem/router. Presto ! no more dropouts. On for 2 hours now. When he came back, he saw that I had moved the AP. He told me that ATT had sent email to the techs suggesting that they try that when usual trouble shooting didn't work. You would think that ATT woulc tell telephone help people as well. Would have saved lots of time and anger. So if your Uverse wireless receivers are dropping the signal, move the AP away from the modem/router.
