New TiVo Bolt Ethernet'd to my LAN. Service is ATT U-Verse with Pace 3800HGV-B which uses b/g wifi.
Streaming video from TiVo to smart phone via Pace router is jerky, broken. TiVo says problem is lack of n wifi. Suggests having ATT replace router with b/g/n-capable model NVG589.
1. How likely is their diagnosis and prognosis?
2. Does ATT do such upgrades on request? (This may sound naive, but more to the point: is the inability of the router to stream this video sufficient to get an upgrade, gratis?)
Streaming video from LAN PCs (bit rate must be adjusted or else similar poor quality video results) or internet (a la Netflix) show no similar issue.
Changing the router's wifi channels = no joy.
Comments and suggestions welcome.
Thanks.
