So several weeks ago I had a conversation with a co-worker who's recently worked for AT&T. The premise of the conversation was that AT&T was struggling to keep up with the bandwidth consumption that Uverse TV users draw and were actively looking to push customers to their recently purchased Direct TV offerings.
Well, my yearly contract expired last month and on attempting to renegotiate my yearly contract I hit a snag with the rep. They would not budge on what is essentially a $60 increase. They did however offer cheaper options on Direct TV. Needless to say their prices have been creeping up over the years and I cant quite justify the cost anymore - considering I had the U450 yet only watched 10 or so channels.
I had been with AT&T for >~6 years. I have since cut the cord and going OTA since I have both Netflix & Amazon ( I refuse to pay for Ads - Hulu). Just wondering what your experience has been like trying to renegotiate your package with the retention dept.
