Watched the cable crews running fiber up and down Herndon road all summer. Received the friendly door hanger as the crews moved on to other neighborhoods. I patiently checked for availability (again and again).
Today a door to door salesman arrived, and it was the first time that I ever welcomed one into my home.
Although I have some reservations regarding the usage caps and deep packet inspection, I went for it! Who can turn down FTTP? It's a gig after-all!
I've signed up for GigaPower, and have already received my install date - in four days. I intend to follow up with a review once the install is complete - wish me luck!
