For the techs out there... I have an IPH 8005 HD/DVR connected to my bedroom set, and a Cisco IPH 330 HD wired box connected to my main set. Would there be any advantage to my switching the boxes, as I've read that TV picture compression issues are reduced with the 8005 box? I have a reliable setup and don't want to mess that up, but HD TV compression issues, especially on the CBS Network, can be distracting and I really would like to improve it if possible.
I know that what's really needed is for TV bandwidth to be increased from it's current allocation of 5.7mbs before real improvement for TV will come about, but personally I would gladly give up 1 HD stream if bandwidth would be increased about 2mbs up to around 8mbs. Might not be perfect, but an increase along that line might make quite a difference in HD TV quality.
