I live about half way down a 3 mile road. When I saw some AT&T trucks, I talked to the workers and they said part of the street was getting Uverse. The other side was fed by a box that wasn't getting it.
There is about a 0.2 mile stretch with no utility poles between me and the fiber connected box, so I'm guessing that I'm not going to be in the service area.
I don't know about the speeds. The construction guy did say it would be Uverse without TV though. But I'm in a rural area with nothing but capped options like Verizon LTE and satellite. I have four kids and it sounds silly, but the idea of them growing up without proper internet access concerns me.
I tried tweeting @attcares and their responses were canned and unhelpful, despite me requesting escalation.
Any ideas on how to petition At&T to service me and the 13 families and 12 children that may be left out of this new construction? Or am I even in range of service being 1.7 miles out?
Thanks for any ideas!
