I just placed an order for Gigapower yesterday (I live outside of Nashville, TN) and have an install date of next Friday. It used to be $120 a month, but it seems they dropped the price a few weeks ago to $70 with a 3 year price guarantee so i hoped on it pretty quickly when i saw that.
I have a question about the installation process. Att has a in ground box outside of our house about 20 feet away at the front of our side yard, the bolt was already loose on it so i opened it and peeked in. There is a piece of conduit pipe sticking out of the ground with a draw wire inside of it sticking out. I assume this is where the fiber will be pulled from on installation day? The bigger question i have is, there is no conduit currently going from this box to my house, so how does the installer get the fiber to the box they will mount on the outside of my house? Do they lay the conduit, bury it, etc the same day the do the installation? It seems like they would not be able to do is the same day as they would have to do a "call before you dig" in order to get the current underground infrastructure mapped out.
Does anyone have any experience with this? I am just wondering if it is usually all done the same day. Thanks in advance.
