So, it's finally here in San Antonio. I'm now patiently waiting for my September 30th install date. However, until then I have a few questions when it comes to GigaPower in an Apartment Complex.
I've had Uverse in the past in a single family home, and service was delivered either via a Coax Cable into the back of the Gateway or using a 4 pin RJ11 connector. That's all good, but in an apartment how does that work? Especially since it's going to be fiber to the ONT. My apartment is pre-wired with Phone + Cable but my understanding is that Gigapower will have to come in via Cat5/6. Will they have to run that wiring or can it use the pre-run Coax or RJ11?
I asked these questions to the guy on the phone when I setup the order, and he didn't have an exact answer. I tried doing some searching for pictures of the ONT and wires coming out of it, but sadly I'm not finding any answers.
Any insight into how the installation process will work would be lovely.
