hi all,
well yesterday my nvg589 had no lights on it whatsoever...tried plugging it in different places and no dice. i did have lights on my router though so i thought that was odd...so now im having router issues i believe, but more on that in a sec.
att was great they had a tech here today to confirm it was dead and give me a new one...nope, i got a 599. took me a while but i googled and remembered how to set up the passthrough so i could keep my current setup with my netgear wnr2000v3.
so now i'm good i thought, got wifi from my router and disabled it on the nvg599, here is where the problem lies, all of a sudden my desktop which is wired to my router cant get on the internet even though its connected to the router...also i cant ping the router...
so none of the 4 lan ports on the router work but the wan port works...thats the question, is my router broken? or did i just miss something on this 599? i went ahead and reset the router and im still having the same problems...it just seems so odd that the lan ports are dead yet the wan port remains.
im really hoping im just missing something with this new 599 that isnt allowing passthrough to the lan ports for some odd reason? please help. thanks
