I'm no Uverse techy but learning lol ..I been having issues lately with my 6.0 Uverse ...some days it'll run just fine and some days it'll drop connection all day or several times through out the day... or the speed will drop from the average of 6.8 down to 2.5 ( The techs said I can qualify for 12.0 easy but that speed is not offered here)...for the pass three months several techs visited and all said they been having a lot of trouble in my neighborhood and they would travel down the road under a half mile and work on the lines there ..and they admitted they really don't have any clue what's going on ..but one tech did tell me there's a "short" somewhere he's reading that's causing my Line Of Distance to jump from 6,200 feet to well over 15,000 feet which is causing my problems ....below is a pic of the connection on the pole behind my house ..we have a ton of squirrels in this area and they're always spending time on that section of the pole so I'm wondering if they're chewing on the insulation ..circled in red is what appears to be gashes in the line ..is this cable only a support line or has to do with the performance of Uverse ? ..btw the last tech told me that sometime in the very near future the homes in my neighborhood will have Fiber Optic directly to them ..they already installed the cabinet etc for it just a couple hundred feet from my house .....btw ..also another pic showing the line that runs right across my street that hangs very low and only tied up with a rope ..the garbage truck and other tall vehicles hit it quite often ...thanks !
