A number of months ago I swithed one of my two POTS line to UVerse Voice. Before the switch neither line got many if any Robocalls. Both lines are registered on the DoNotCall list.
Shortly after switching the one line we began getting half a dozen Robocalls per day on the UVerse Voice line but none on the POTS line. Coincidence? The numbers are similar as in within 40 numbers of each other.
I re-verified that both numbers are still on the DoNotCall list.
So I wonder if Robocallers favor VoiP numbers over POTs numbers for some reason.
I've reduced the annoyance a bit by subscribing to nomorobo.com which works as designed but the phone still rings albeit only once on most Robocalls.
Any insight appreciated.
