Hello, to my surprise I was successfully hooked up to UVerse last week and am enjoying 6Mb+ speeds which I never thought possible. For a long time I was repeatedly told by AT&T techs (as recently as January) I was too far away (1 full mile) from the VRAD to get this service, which I believed was limited to 5,000 feet with pair bonding. I am still on a single pair. Obviously there is better info out there and links to a layman's description of what the current capability (as well as UVerse in general) would be most welcome.
My next question, can I get even better service? My next door neighbor is enjoying 12 -14Mbs speeds with only one pair, and is only 300 feet closer to the pedestal. My modem suggests this possible (see below). Any recommendations for supporting a service upgrade (pair bonding, etc.? Here are my stats:
