Myself and several co-workers in the North Chicago suburbs received emails from ATT regarding a U-Verse Voice network upgrade. Below is a snippet. Can anyone offer any insight as to what the upgrade will enable? The notice is vague.
We will be upgrading the network that supports your U-verse Voice service, number 847.966.YYYY, within 45 days. This upgrade will happen automatically and at no charge to you. The upgrade will allow us to introduce enhancements to your service in the future. At the time your service is upgraded, you may experience about one minute of phone service interruption. If you have an alarm service provided over your U-verse Voice service, you will experience about one minute of service interruption. As always, we recommend you maintain an alternative means of accessing 911 services at all times. If you are on a call during the upgrade process your call will not be interrupted and your service will be upgraded later.
