For about the last week, I am having problems with Facebook pictures not loading, they just appear as white boxes. If I copy the URL directly to the picture and paste into another window, I get a "connection reset" error.
If I connect through the wifi hotspot on my phone (coincidentally also AT&T), there are no problems.
I run an ASUS router behind my gateway, but to eliminate that, and WIFI, I plugged the laptop directly into the Gateway and still no pictures. This happens on 3 laptops and my phone (if it is connected to the network wifi).
It seemed like one time when I rebooted the gateway, it temporarily fixed the problem, but it returned and a reboot after that didn't seem to have any affect.
I've reported it to Facebook with no reply. I reported it to UVerse and at first they instructed me to disable IPV6, which didn't help. Then they replied to me stating this was a known problem with Facebook and has been reported to them, and affects multiple ISP's.
So, anyone else having this problem if it is really a widespread known problem? And, this has gone on over a week now, and I have to use the wifi hotspot on my phone if I want to do anything useful in Facebook. I think a week is more than enough for them to resolve this problem, and if it truly was a widespread problem, I would think I would see reports of it all over the place, but I don't.
