For the past few weeks our U-Verse service (phone and internet only), has been horrible. We have had two premise techs and two line techs out in the last two weeks.
Appointment 1
The premise tech determined it was a line issue between the box in the yard and the central office. A line tech is dispatched.
The line tech said he swapped ports. Service dropped once the next day, and multiple times each day for the next week.
Appointment 2
The premise tech arrives, I explain the issues, he said "your line looks fine" but mentions a known software issue with F cards, and the best solution would be for our service be moved to a K card. He said it was near impossible to get approval for such a move.
A line tech was dispatched to request the move (which was denied) and our service was moved to a different F card.
The premise tech came back to the house to explain what they did. He then said a software/firmware fix was supposed to be released by July 15th.
My questions are:
Is there a known issue with F cards, and is there a "fix" coming tomorrow?
Is it that difficult to get moved to a K card?
