I switched to Uverse back on 4/4 and for 52 days the cord went unburied. After they finally came out today, the contractor rammed his machinery into the side of our house and poked two holes through the siding and wood. He only buried about 10% of the cord also - has a long way to go but decided to call it a day after the accident.
My question is - can I just rip this cord out of my home, off of my property, and cancel the service? I don't have any faith in Uverse service and I do not want this contractor tearing up a significant amount of my property to run this line all over my yard, especially after the accident. Is there any issues with me removing the cord myself? I appreciate any insight that can be provided.
Thanks!
